Two new community public access defibrillators installed

The Parish Council has been working with South West Ambulance Service Foundation Trust (SWASFT) to acquire two new Community Public Access Defibrillators (CPADS) for West Hill.

We are pleased to report that both defibrillators have now been installed. The two new locations are:

  • West Hill Royal British Legion Club
  • 11 Eastfield (not far from the double roundabout)

The locations were chosen as a result of a public appeal for suitable sites, which require an available electricity supply. The Parish Council would like to thank our colleagues at the RBL West Hill Club for offering to site one CPAD externally at their premises.

If someone in the village calls 999 for an incident at which it is considered a CPAD could assist, then the caller will be advised of a CPAD that is within 200 metres of their location.

The village's original defibrillator at the village hall is still operative and available for emergency use.
