The South Western Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust (SWAST) is seeking additional volunteers to join local Community First Responders teams.

The Community First Responder scheme is made up of a group of trained volunteers who within the community in which they live or work attend emergency calls on behalf of South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust to provide patient care, including basic life support, until the arrival of an emergency ambulance.

This role is highly rewarding and offers opportunities to meet new people and learn valuable lifesaving skills through the training provided by SWAST.

SWAST are currently recruiting and their advert is now on the NHS jobs website until Sunday 8th September 2024.  Key points to note:

  • Applicants must have full driving licence and access to a car.
  • must be available to attend interview and training dates as shown in their advert
