Telephone Landlines are going Digital
Landlines in the UK are going digital by the end of January 2027.
For most people the switchover will be very straightforward but some may have concerns particularly those with Telecare alarms. Although the landline isn’t going away, you might have questions or would like to know more about this industry-wide change.

The BT roadshow is touring the UK to visit local towns and communities to provide information on Digital Voice, why the change is necessary and what it means for you.
West Hill Parish Council has arranged for the BT roadshow to visit West Hill. Members of the BT team will on hand to provide one-to-one support:
- Thursday 16th October 2025
- 9.00am - 3.00pm
- West Hill Village Hall, Beech Park, West Hill, EX 11 1UQ (parking available)
- There's no need to book, just turn up.
