The Parish Council has been notified by Aggregate Industries that they will be commencing restoration works at Rockbeare Quarry from 21st March onwards. The works are required to provide a long-term stable landform.
Aggregate Industries said:
The initial stage of the works involves the felling of a number of trees which is why we are notifying you in case you are contacted by local residents, however the final restoration scheme does require us to re-plant so the trees will be replaced together with longer-term biodiversity benefits in terms of ponds and wet grassland habitats.
