Update - Proposed new pedestrian link from West Hill Road to the Village Hall
Many thanks to the many residents who completed the recent survey on the proposed new pedestrian path to the Village Hall. In particular thank you to the many residents who submitted their detailed comments.
The headline results were
- A total of 139 responses were received
- 107 (77.5%) in support
- 28 (20.3%) opposed
- 3 (2%) indicated no opinion. One respondent skipped the question, but their comment made it obvious that they belonged in the “no opinion” group, so was added accordingly.

Please be assured that we have read your comments and will be seeking to incorporate suggestions into the design where possible. We will also explore measures to mitigate the concerns raised.
Based on the survey findings the Village Hall Trustees and West Hill Parish Council have agreed to submit a Planning Application to East Devon District Council. The EDDC planning process allows residents a further opportunity to submit their views.
WHPC will advise residents when the planning application has been submitted.
