A reminder that all recycling and waste collections will be one day later due to the Bank Holiday
Your recycling, waste and green waste will be collected one day later this bank holiday week, and ongoing delays may see more disruptions.
More information on your collection date can be found by clicking here or by downloading the East Devon 'App'
East Devon District Council would like to thank residents for their patience at this time
Due to acute staff shortages, collections are being disrupted but we will work as closely as we can to the planned ‘one day later’ schedule but some collections may get further delays during the holiday week.
East Devon District Council would like to thank residents for their patience at this time and have set out a series of steps for people to check to see if their collection has been affected.
Any amendments to a collection will be notified to any affected resident via the East Devon ‘app’. These amendments will also be posted on to the Council’s website www.eastdevon.gov.uk which will contain the most up to date information.
If a recycling collection has been missed, residents are asked to continue to leave the containers out whilst an attempt is made to catch up. If after 4 days, the collection has not been made, please take the recycling back in and place any extra out in carrier bags on the next scheduled collection day.
If a refuse or green [garden-]waste collection has been missed, please report this to the council via the website and our contractor will endeavour to collect this as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, the bulky household items collection service has currently been suspended to allow staff to be redeployed to assist with the recycling collections.
