Message from West Hill Parish Council
West Hill Parish Council has received several enquiries from residents asking how they or the Parish Council can help with the current situation in Ukraine.
As we are all aware the situation in the Ukraine is very upsetting and concerning. Our thoughts and sympathy are with everyone who is affected.
Parish Councils are not allowed to make donations of money. However, we can help by signposting how village residents can help:
- West Hill resident Scott Cheadle has a campaign ““Toad on the Road” to raise £10,000 to fill an ambulance full of urgent medical supplies and deliver them to the Ukraine refugee camps and hospitals. For further details or to make a donation please see Scott’s JustGiving Crowdfunding webpage: Crowdfunding to fill an ambulance full of urgent medical supplies and deliver them to the Ukraine Refugee Camps and Hospitals on JustGiving
- At the upcoming Annual Parish Meeting on 25th March the Royal British Legion will be collecting monetary donations in support of Scott’s campaign.
- By donating to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, you'll help DEC charities provide food, water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families. DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal | Disasters Emergency Committee. For More information: https://donation.dec.org.uk/ukraine-humanitarian-appeal
