Notice of Co-option
The Returning Officer of East Devon District Council has confirmed that the regulation 10 requests from electors have not been fulfilled and the Council can now fill the casual vacancy by co-option.
If you are interested in serving as a Parish Councillor, please send a written expression of interest to the Parish Clerk for an application pack.
Please note the applicant's name must appear on the current register of the Voters List or the applicant should during the whole of the twelve months preceding the relevant date have resided in or within three miles of the parish or the applicant’s only place of work during the whole of the twelve months preceding the relevant date is in the parish.
The closing date for the written submission of interest is Monday 6th July 2020.
Parish councillors will consider submissions at the full council meeting to be held on Tuesday 7th July 2020. Candidates for co-option will be required to attend the (video conference) meeting, to answer Councillors’ questions.
