Let's reduce traffic speeds in West Hill!
West Hill's speed sign is now operational. Approaching traffic that is exceeding the speed limit will trigger a SLOW DOWN warning message and speed limit reminder.
The Parish Council purchased the Vehicle Activated Sign (VAS) in response to residents concerns regarding speed traffic and road safety. So far Highways have approved four sites around the village and the VAS will be moved between the sites on a regular basis. Further sites are under discussion.
Many thanks to DCC Cllr Claire Wright who contributed 50% of the purchase costs from her Locality budget.
