This major planning application was considered by the EDDC Planning Committee at its meeting on Tuesday 24th October. A resident spoke in objection, as did Ward Member Cllr Jess Bailey. A statement of objection from the Parish Council was read out on our behalf because none of the WHPC Cllrs were available to attend in person. The Committee resolved to approve the application but also added a planning condition, as requested by WHPC and Cllr Bailey, of a public footpath linking the application site to the site next to it off Windmill Lane (currently the subject of a different planning application yet to be decided) to improve pedestrian accessibility to Bendarroch Road and the bus stop.
